KUWAIT INVESTMENT AUTHORITY (KIA) REFOCUSES ITS ACTIVITIES IN MOROCCO THROUGH A NEW ENTITY: AL AJIAL HOLDING

AL AJIAL Holding is a new investment holding launched by KIA to replace the Moroccan-Kuwaiti Development Group (CMKD), which has been active for three decades in Morocco in investment projects.

The company aims at becoming one of the most active holdings in Morocco relying on its basic attractive features. To achieve this goal, KIA reinforced its financial engagement by increasing its capital to MAD 12 billion and by adopting a new strategy that targets diversifying investments in different business sectors of high potential.

By the end of 2014, KIA increased the capital of AL AJIAL Holding to reach 12 billion MAD.

ABOUT US

The Moroccan-Kuwaiti Development Consortium (CMKD) is a Moroccan company established in 1976 with a Kuwaiti capital. It focused its investments in the sectors of real estate and tourism development.

In order to realize its goals in Morocco, the consortium passes on the torch to AL AJIAL Holding to manage KIA’s projects in Morocco. The holding has a new ambitious strategic plan aiming at developing and diversifying investments in order to increase profits and create value for all parties.

To ensure a dynamic growth, the company relies on new governance including the simplification of its organizational structure, the creation of new departments like Human Resources and Information Systems, and the formation of a qualified and dynamic managing team.

STRATEGIC VISION

For about forty years, the Kuwaiti Investment Authority (KIA) strengthened its presence in Morocco through the “Moroccan-Kuwaiti Development Consortium” to keep up with Moroccan strategy of economic and social development.

Year after year, we were able to consolidate our presence in Morocco with a strong belief in its attractive features.

Today, we renew our trust in the future of Morocco. We will concentrate and develop our investments in several promising business sectors through the new entity: Al Ajial Holding. The company has adopted a new strategic outline based on the following themes:
